In a safe and supportive environment individuals will have the opportunity to openly share their experience without judgment or feeling burdened.
Most people don’t understand the nature of their own reaction to loss and are frightened; often feeling like they are “going crazy”, or lack the social support and don’t want to “burden” others. Seeking counseling is beneficial to help in the healing process. Though it may seem like a difficult task, taking action will allow one to learn and better understand coping with loss. It takes courage to want to heal.
When someone we love dies it is never about forgetting but about remembering and loving differently and with less pain.
